Class of 2019 four-star tight end Ryland Goede knew Michigan was coming to visit Acworth (GA) Kennesaw Mountain on May 3rd, but he had no clue the Wolverines would offer.

“I wasn’t expecting it,” he said to MnB. “I knew they were coming in, but I wasn’t sure if they would extend and offer or not.”

Believe it or not, Goede is open to playing up north in Michigan. He is planning to visit Michigan “sometime in the future.”

The 6-foot-7, 235-pound offensive threat has offers to play for Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, Austin Peay, Duke, Florida, LSU, Michigan, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Purdue, Tennessee, and UCLA.

“I don’t really have any top schools at the moment,” Goede said. “I’m just keeping my options open.”

Goede is ranked No. 64 in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports. He is the fourth-best tight end and is ranked No. 9 in the state of Georgia.

Michigan has offered 2019 tight ends Austin Stogner, Keon Zipperer, Isaiah Foskey, Blake Hinson, Logan Lee, and Goede.

Regarding Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, Goede said, “I like what I see and hear about him, but I don’t know him really yet.”
