Class of 2019 four-star running back John Emery Jr., from Destrehan (LA) High School, earned an offer from Michigan on May 10th.
“I expected the offer because some coaches from Michigan followed me not to long ago,” he mentioned to MnB.
Believe it or not, he told Maize n Brew that he has always loved the Wolverines.
“Growing up, Michigan was a dream school,” Emery said.
The 6-foot-0, 194-pound running back has offers to play for Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. The 247Sports Crystal Ball has two predictions in Emery, which are both aimed at LSU.
Emery is ranked No. 90 in the 2019 class, according to 247Sports. He is the seventh-best running back and is ranked No. 6 in the state of Louisiana.
As for visiting Michigan, Emery said that he is “hopeful” to make the trip to Ann Arbor.
Michigan has extended scholarship offers to 10 running backs in the 2019 class. The list includes Eric Gray, Noah Cain, Quavaris Crouch, Deondrick Glass, Devyn Ford, Khafre Brown, Jerrion Ealy, Cesare Mellusi, Charles Mincy Jr., and Emery.
