Former Michigan running back Kingston Davis, a redshirt freshman, is set to transfer to Independence Community College, according to JucoFootballACE.

The school in Kansas is also known as “Dream U.” Davis will be eligible to play immediately.

Davis, from Prattville (AL) High School, was ranked No. 736 in the 2016 class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He was the top-ranked full back and was rated the 28th-best player in the state of Alabama.

The 6-foot-1, 245-pound ball carrier ran for 17 yards on two carries during his only game with Michigan, the 2016 season opener against Hawaii. He sat the rest of the season with a knee injury, which required surgery.

Davis is the third player from Michigan’s 2016 class to transfer, along with wide reciever Ahmir Mitchell to Rutgers and tight end Devin Asiasi to UCLA.
