Who’s Your Favorite Wolverine?

Players come and go, but some of them always stand out of the pack. That begs the question, who's your favorite Michigan man?

Desmond Howard. Charles Woodson. Jalen Rose. What comes to your mind when you read those names? Maybe it was watching Desmond evade the coverage and return a punt against Ohio State that sealed his Heisman win. How about an impossible interception in the Michigan State game that put those who doubted Woodson’s talents to rest. Jalen Rose (along with the Fab Five) inspired a generation and played with fire that will be hard to ever replicate. I could spend all day going on and on and listing Michigan all time great’s but I won’t. Instead, I’d like to talk about my favorite player, his impact on my fandom and then who your favorite Wolverines will always be.

I’ve never been the strongest, the tallest, or the fastest guy, and that’s why I fell hard for Mike Hart. There was always something about the way that Mike ran through the gaps and bounced off of would be tacklers that inspired me to run outside in my number 20 jersey just to bowl over my cousins the way he would steamroll the opposition. Hart played with heart, that's why he will always hold a place dear with me.

As they say in The Sandlot, “Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.” That quote is especially true when you're playing in the largest North American stadium and represent the world renowned institution that is the University of Michigan.

So Wolverine fans, who is your favorite Michigan Man of present or yesteryear? Vote and leave the story behind who that great player is and why you hold him so high above the rest.
