2019 4-star defensive tackle Jowon Briggs talks Michigan

Briggs wasn’t expecting the offer, but is going to make the most of it.

Jowon Briggs a 6-2, 275 pound Defensive Tackle and four-star prospect out of Cincinnati, received a surprising offer from Michigan back in October.

“Ohio State offered the day before, so I wasn’t really expecting an offer from Michigan,” said Briggs.

Briggs will be a Junior next year, and has already visited Michigan once and is expecting to visit again this fall for a game.

“Michigan has great academics, coupled with great facilities, and great opportunities on and off the field, that’s what makes Michigan nice.”

Briggs is in no rush making a decision, as he is only going to be a Junior. He has offers from Cincinnati, Iowa State, Maryland, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, and others. Briggs is interested in them all, and doesn’t have a list narrowed down.

Michigan, for their part, will be looking for a big haul of defensive linemen, after a monumental class in 2017 and a much smaller class of D-linemen in 2018.
