Familiar faces show up to Detroit Pistons mini-camp

Some ex-Michigan Wolverines showed up to a Detroit Pistons mini-camp yesterday

Tennessee v Michigan

Yesterday the Detroit Pistons held a mini-camp to 17 D-league and international players.

A few faces showed up that used to spend their college playing days in Ann Arbor.

Ex-Michigan players Manny Harris, Jordan Morgan, and Darius Morris were able to attend the event and participate in it.

Morris, who spent time in the NBA with five different teams from 2011-15 (most recently the Brooklyn Nets), spent last season with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the D-League.

Harris also spent last season in the D-league with the Texas Legends before receiving a call-up from the Dallas Mavericks. He has spent time playing in Ukraine and Turkey internationally, along with three NBA and D-League teams.

As for Morgan, he has most recently been in Michigan after playing with the Kymis Basketball Club in the Greek Basketball League. Morgan had one year in the D-League with the Canton Charge, while also spending time in Italy and and France since his playing days ended at Michigan in 2014.

Ex-Michigan State guard Travis Trice was also at this event, along with a pair of Grand Rapids Drive players (Marcus Simmons and Trey Freeman).

This is the first time any of the three ex-Michigan players have had interactions with the Pistons organization.
