Michigan has added another non-conference game to it’s 2017-18 schedule, making it the 10th contest to be assigned in that category for the Wolverines.
On Nov. 16 the Wolverines will host Southern Miss at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor. The macthup was reported on Thursday by The Clarion-Ledger.
John Beilein and Michigan are down to just three teams that they can schedule in the non-conference portion of the campaign, which would reach the max of 31 regular-season contests.
This will be the first ever meeting between Michigan and the Golden Eagles. It will also be the first time Beilein and Southern Miss head coach Doc Sadler compete against each other.
Sadler’s squad finished 9-22 overall last season and went 6-12 in Conference USA, which was good for 11th place. They made their conference tournament for the first time since 2014.
