The award watch lists keep coming out, and Michigan players continue to be featured on them. This time it is the Outland Trophy Watch List, which is awarded to the best interior linemen (offense or defense). Michigan center Mason Cole made the list, so did defensive tackle Maurice Hurst.
Cole has been an iron-man for the Wolverines, starting in 38 consecutive games. This will be Cole’s second season at center, where he shifted to from left tackle.
Hurst was a solid player for Michigan when he was on the field in 2016, but he will be on the field the majority of snaps this season. In 2016 Hurst recorded 11.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and had a forced fumble.
The award winner will be announced on December 7th.
