Urban Meyer calls Ohio State-Michigan rivalry the best in sports

Urban Meyer makes a bold claim at Big Ten Media Days

At his introductory Big Ten Media Days press conference, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer spoke glowingly of the rivalry between Michigan and Ohio State.

Meyer stated that he is a bit biased because he grew up in the midst of the rivalry at its height. “It’s tremendous respect, not a lot of like between the two universities, the games incredible.” Meyer added he remembers the ten year war between Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler, and that his Ohio hometown shut down for the day during the game.

Ohio State will face Michigan at “The Big House” on November 25th.
