2019 4-star guard Nolan Rumler out of Akron, Ohio grew up a Michigan fan, and is high on Michigan, but will be looking at all his options when it comes to his recruitment.
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound guard has 20 offers that include Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State and Cincinnati.
Out of those schools, Rumler told Maize n Brew his top team list right now heading into this junior year is “probably Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame and Michigan State.”
“I really love Michigan, they are great at football and the academics are first class,” Rumler said. “I grew up a Michigan fan so I love everything about it.
“One thing that sticks out with all of the programs on my top list is they’re all successful, and those schools will prepare me for life after football too.”
Rumler said some factors when making his final decision include “coaching, location, playing time and overall feeling.”
The 129th overall prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings for the 2019 class is getting recruited mostly at guard, but he has also played offensive tackle. All five predictions in the 247Sports Crystal Ball at the moment have Michigan landing him.
Rumler plans to visit sometime in July. He did visit Michigan for a one-day camp in June, but did not participate. Rumler doesn’t have any other visits scheduled yet.
“I have a really good relationship with coach (Tim) Drevno. He is a players coach and always wants to make you better,” Rumler said on his relationship with the staff.
Rumler was offered by Michigan his freshman year and is a two-year starter at Archbishop Hoban High School.
