There has been talk about a possible visit from the five-star recruit RJ Barrett to Michigan, and now the Wolverines have made his final five cut.
On Wednesday evening, the 6-foot-6 forward put out a tweet with Michigan falling in his final five choices of where he will attend college. Arizona, Kentucky, Oregon and Duke were also included in the image.
I want to thank all the schools that have recruited me.. these are my top 5 in alphabetical order. Haven't figured out any visits yet. pic.twitter.com/hID9BVGWUg

Barrett is now the No. 1 recruit in the 2018 class after reclassifying from the 2019 class. This is the first time that Barrett has publicly shown his interest in the Wolverines basketball program.
The Canadian athlete led his country to a gold medal FIBA U19 World Cup including a win over Team USA. In the game against the USA, he recorded 38 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
Throughout the entire World Cup in Egypt that was played in July, Barrett averaged 21.6 points, 8.3 boards and 4.6 assists per contest.
Michigan can begin official visits on Sept. 9, now with his newly acquired staff of assistant coaches in Luke Yaklich and DeAndre Haynes.
