Last year Michigan had honorary captains such as Michael Jordan, Hank Aaron, and Tom Brady. This year is off to a good start with three captains being named to date. Michigan legend Charles Woodson, ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and Shinola founder Tom Kartsotis will all be captains.

Harbaugh recorded videos of his conversations with all three men, the most notable being Woodson (featured below). When asked if he’d be interested in being the honorary captain against Ohio State, Woodson told Harbaugh “You had me at hello.” In which Harbaugh responded, “You da Man.” Woodson said he is all in and that is the one game he had marked off his schedule he planned on getting to this season.

“We gotta beat those guys.” Harbaugh said. I think Michigan fans can agree.

Harbaugh also made calls to Adam Schefter and Tom Kartsotis, who also accepted the honorary captain requests. Schefter will be the honorary captain for the Cincinatti game, while Kartsotis will be the captain against Florida.
