For the second consecutive week, the Michigan Wolverine’s defense was highly impressive. Swarming to the football, interceptions, tackles for loss, forced fumbles, sacks, are some of the things the unit have created thus far this season. Safety Tyree Kinnel is among the players on the unit whom have really stood out.
Kinnel was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.

His stats jump off the page. A sack, an interception returned for a touchdown, 8 solo tackles, a team high 9 tackles. All impressive numbers. Kinnel was the first Defensive Player of the Week for Michigan since Jabrill Peppers received the award on September 19th in 2016.
Kinnel will look to keep things rolling against Air Force on Saturday.
