A little while later, the latest AP poll was released and Michigan stayed steady at No. 8 despite receiving more votes than last week. The Georgia Bulldogs jumped Michigan in the AP, whereas the Wolverines stayed in front of a rising Georgia in the Coaches Poll.
Michigan remains ranked No. 8 in the latest AP Poll.

Other notable rankings and takeaways from the AP Poll:
- Penn State remained in the No. 4 slot
- Wisconsin fell one place to No. 10
- Ohio State fell one place to No. 11
- The B1G Conference still has the most teams ranked in the AP Top-10 with three
Author’s Note: An earlier version of this article mistakenly stated that the B1G Conference had three teams ranked in the AP Top-25. I meant to say that the B1G Conference has three teams ranked in the AP Top-10. The article has been updated to correct this error.
