The game wasn’t the blow out many expected the game to be, but the Michigan Wolverines pulled it off and improved to 2-0 on the season, beating the Cincinnati Bearcats 36-14.
GAME RECAP
First Quarter
- On Michigan’s first drive of the game, Wilton Speight delivers an accurate 43 yard pass to Kekoa Crawford for a touchdown. Michigan leads 7-0
- Bearcats quarterback Hayden Moore overthrows his target and the ball goes directly into the hands of Wolverines cornerback Tyree Kinnel for an interception return. Michigan leads 14-0
- Cincinnati gets on the board with a 1 yard touchdown run by Mike Boone. Michigan leads 14-7
Second Quarter
- Michigan drives down the field with goal to go, but has to settle for a Quinn Nordin field goal. Michigan leads 17-7
Third Quarter
- Cincinnati receives the ball at the beginning of the third quarter and makes the most out of the possession. Hayden Moore gets the Bearcats into the red-zone with a long quarterback scramble and finishes it off with a touchdown pass to Kahlil Lewis. Michigan leads 17-14
- Grant Perry hauls in a high throw from Wilton Speight on a quick slant, gains 33 yards and finds the end zone. Michigan leads 24-14
Fourth Quarter
- Michigan gets down to the six yard line, but fails to find pay-dirt, and settle for another field goal. Quinn Nordin drills the attempt. Michigan leads 27-14
- A bad snap by the Bearcats on a punt attempt leads to a safety after punter James Smith bats the ball out of the end-zone. Michigan leads 29-14
- Lavert Hill hauls in an interceptions and it goes for a 24 yard touchdown. Michigan leads 36-14
