Additions on the Michigan Wolverines football coaching staff continue. Today has news coming from footballscoop.com that Minnesota offensive line coach/run game coordinator Ed Warinner will accept a positon on the U-M staff.

The position is rumored to be in the capacity of an offensive analyst. Warinner was co-offensive coordinator for Ohio State under Urban Meyer from 2012-2016, also serving as offensive line coach from 2012-2015 and tight ends coach in 2016.

This would be a strong hire for Michigan, Warinner has plenty of insight into the scheme and tactics Ohio State uses on and off the field. Beyond his OSU experience, he has a good resume that almost seems beyond worthy of being just an analyst for Michigan. I presume Warinner wouldn’t accept this job if he didn’t think better days were ahead for the Michigan program.

We will have more information delivered to you as this story develops.
