Should we be rooting for MSU against Ohio State?

Hey guys, just wanted to pose this question: Are Michigan fans rooting for MSU to beat Ohio State this weekend? The easy answer is yes. I'll admit, it would be nice to see Michigan have a clear path to a Big Ten East title before even stepping onto the field in Columbus. If MSU were to spring the upset against the Buckeyes, Michigan would only be a victory over Indiana away from being Big Ten East champions, and getting that monkey off their back. The upside to MSU pulling the upset is obvious.

However, I'll also admit: I'm conflicted about if I want to see MSU win this weekend. For one, MSU winning really takes a lot of luster away from the Michigan-Ohio State game on November 24th. This game has been missing the Big Ten and National Championship implications it used to have over the last decade. This rivalry is best when everything is on the line, and an MSU victory takes away from that. The other reason is, I don't want to see MSU have any joy. After the nonsense they pulled before the game this year, I don't want to see Dantonio or that obnoxious fan-base have any signature win to be happy about. Even though Michigan dominated them on the field this year, Sparty fans would feel like they have some sort of bragging rights over Michigan. I'd rather see Michigan go into Columbus with everything on the line.

Maybe I'm the only one who is conflicted? Comment below! I'd love to hear what people have to say.
