Calvin Anderson talks Tim Drevno resignation, how it impacts his recruitment

Maize ‘n’ Brew spoke to Anderson shortly after Drevno’s resignation was reported

Rice grad transfer, offensive tackle Calvin Anderson has been heavily recruited by Michigan, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Texas.

News broke this morning that Michigan offensive coordinator Tim Drevno resigned, which may or may not impact Anderson’s recruitment. However, Drevno has been a catalsyt in the recruitment of Anderson to this point. A few weeks ago Anderson called Drevno a huge factor and big reason he may come to Michigan.

Anderson told Maize ‘n’ Brew he found out about Drevno’s departure from the program this morning, and said the he was surprised by the news. As far as Drevno’s resignation impacting Anderson committing to Michigan, Anderson said he hasn’t had enough time to process the news yet.

It has also been reported that Ed Warinner will become Michigan’s offensive line coach. Anderson said that he has met Warinner before, and they joked around and laughed during their conversation.

We’ll provide you an update when one comes along.
