The Michigan Wolverines continue to climb in the AP Poll, jumping to No. 15 in Monday’s release. Michigan concluded its regular season as hot as any team in the country, winning its last five contests and seven of the last eight.
The Maize and Blue are one of four Big Ten squads in the top 15. They already boast wins over No. 2 Michigan State and No. 13 Ohio State, and took No. 8 Purdue to the wire twice during the regular season. A couple wins in the Big Ten Tournament this week will give Michigan yet another shot at the conference’s best.
The Wolverines kicks off their postseason on Thursday afternoon in New York City. While early round matchups will not move the needle much, the Wolverines will have a legitimate shot at bolstering their ranking before the final week before the NCAA Tournament. March is the right time to be on the rise, and the polls recognize that this Michigan team is one to keep an eye on.
