The Michigan Wolverines bolstered their 2019 recruiting class on Friday night, when Cade McNamara announced he has committed to U-M.
I have been waiting to find this place for a long time. I am very excited to announce I will be committing to the University of Michigan. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/f37mCHhmXo

The 4-Star quarterback from Damonte Ranch in Reno, Nevada has let it rip the past two seasons, throwing for a combined 7,047 yards and 90 touchdowns while only tossing 19 interceptions.
McNamara has been highly sought after, holding offers from USC, Georgia, Alabama, among others. McNamara decommitted from Notre Dame at the beginning of March, and that opened the door for Michigan to make their move.
The 2017 Nevada Gatorade Player of the Year brings a well rounded skill set to the equation for Michigan. The 6-1 & 201 pound quarterback is mobile, has excellent footwork, and can throw the ball with touch and power.
Ranked the 9th best pro-style quarterback in his class, McNamara’s commitment has boosted Michigan’s Class of 2019 ranking to 5th nationally, according to 247sports.
We’ll have a scouting report about McNamara coming your way this week. There’s plenty to like and evaluate. Baker Mayfield was the first name that popped into my head when watching McNamara’s film.
