Wilton Speight visiting UCLA

Will Speight be playing for the Bruins in 2018?

Air Force v Michigan

Former Michigan Wolverines starting quarterback Wilton Speight is still without a new home and a new team to play for in 2018, but his search may be heating up.

On Speight’s Instagram account this morning, he posted a story that shows him at the UCLA football facility in Los Angeles.

With Josh Rosen leaving UCLA and going pro, the Bruins have a hole to fill at starting quarterback. While UCLA has talent in the fold at the position, no starter has been named to this point, and if Speight decided to land at UCLA, he’ll get a chance to compete for the starting quarterback spot.

Granted, this is just a video of Speight at the facility... maybe nothing will come of his visit to UCLA, maybe he has other colleges to visit, but it’s a development nonetheless.

Last week, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh said he wouldn’t rule out Speight coming back to Michigan completely, stating “He’s first taking a look and seeing what else is out there to see who is need of a starting quarterback, but he hasn’t closed the door on coming back.”
