Friday night featured two big time prospects releasing a list of their top programs. Michigan made the cut for both recruits, 4-star receiver John Dunmore, and 4-star outside linebacker Lance Dixon.
Dixon is the No. 16 ranked outside linebacker in his class according to 247 sports. Standing 6-3 195 pounds, the Michigan native (West Bloomfield) has been recruited by both Don Brown and Sherrone Moore to this point.
We put together a scouting report on Dixon and our writer Jonathon Simmons said “opposing offenses will be on the lookout for a monster on the edge, blowing up their read options and bubble screens.”
Dunmore is one of the top receivers in the state of Florida (Chaminade-Madonna Prep) and has been a standout at the Rivals Adidas Camp and at The Opening Finals. The 6-2 172 wideout told Maize n Brew earlier this year and he is the type of receiver that the Wolverines like.
“Physically I like to use my combination of size and speed when it comes to getting open or when someone tries to cover me. And mentally I like to be used all over the field. I can work from the slot and outside as well. I’m getting better at the slot so I can create miss matches with my size and speed,” Dunmore said.
247 has Dunmore ranked as the No. 107 ranked player in his class. He’s been most heavily recruited by Sherrone Moore.
