Come cover the Wolverines with us!

NCAA Football: Outback Bowl-Michigan vs South Carolina Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Wolverines’ 2018 football season is just around the corner. We’re looking for talented writers to join the team at Maize n Brew and help us cover this team we love.

What are we looking for?

We’ve got a few potential opportunities at the site.

Contributors: We need people who have things to say about Michigan sports and are comfortable sharing those in writing. This could include game previews and recaps, film breakdowns, columns, and more.

Podcasters: This is pretty self-explanatory. If you’d like to host a podcast about Michigan sports, we may have a spot for you. We also need someone who can edit podcasts, so if that’s a part of your skill set, let us know.

Social media: We need someone to manage our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts and keep them fun, engaging, and informative.

What skills and qualifications should you have?

We’re looking for people who:

  • Have a passion for the Michigan Wolverines..
  • Ideally already enjoy reading, commenting, and participating in the Maize n Brew community.
  • Are able to produce and edit clean copy and/or have the skill and experience to host and produce a podcast or manage social media properties for the site.
  • Are self-starters and comfortable meeting deadlines.

How do you apply?

Please send a cover letter, resume, and writing sample and/or links to previous podcast appearances or social media work to SB Nation’s talent manager for team brands, Jeanna Thomas, at jeanna.thomas@sbnation.com. You can also feel free to hit Jeanna up with any questions about the positions or SB Nation in general.

These are contractor positions that pays monthly stipends. If your background and experience don’t perfectly align with every single thing we’re looking for, but you believe you have the potential to thrive in one of these roles, we encourage you to apply.
