Michigan offered Kent the scholarship in June, his first Power 5 scholarship. Among other offers were Eastern Kentucky, Kent State, Northern Illinois and Ball State.
According to 247Sports, Kent is a 3-star recruit who is 6 foot, 170 pounds. But he currently has no stars on 247Sports’ composite ranking system.
At St. Edwards High School in Lakewood Ohio, Kent totalled 414 yards last season. He’s nationally ranked at No. 89 and 10th in Ohio according to Maxpreps.
Michigan’s 2019 recruiting class was ranked 12th nationally and second in the Big Ten prior to Kent’s commitment. Kent becomes the 18th commitment in Michigan’s 2019 class and the first wide receiver.
