Get up, it’s GameDay!
With only four Saturdays to go until the kickoff of the 2018 football season, College GameDay has announced that they will be in South Bend on September 1st for the highly anticipated matchup between the Michigan Wolverines and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
We’re going back to where it all began ... South Bend, we’re coming to your city!

Michigan. Notre Dame. See you September 1! pic.twitter.com/kwcvy7FIJJ
South Bend was the sight of the very first on-campus GameDay, way back on November 13th, 1993, when the Irish beat Florida State.
This will be the 28th time GameDay has been on location for a Michigan game, and the 17th time while they were on the road.
Michigan last hosted GameDay on October 17th, 2015, for a game I’d really not like to talk about, thanks.
The Michigan-Notre Dame tilt is obviously very high profile, as the two teams are renewing their rivalry after a brief three year hiatus.
The two teams are closely ranked in the season’s first coaches poll, which was released a few days ago. Notre Dame enters at number 11, with Michigan right behind at 14.
This is only another sign that the college football season is nearing closer. What will you be doing on GameDay? Let us know in the comments below!
