Michigan rises in AP Top 25, S&P Rankings

Inching closer to the top ten

The Michigan Wolverines (3-1) had a commanding 56-10 victory over Nebraska on Saturday. Because of their success in all three phases, they’ve been rewarded by pollsters.

Michigan moved up from No. 21 to No. 15 in the Coaches Poll and from No. 19 to No. 14 in the AP Top 25.

And for the lovers of analytical data, Michigan rose from No. 10 to No. 6 in the S&P Rankings.

The big tests for Michigan are looming, which will ultimately decide how far they rise or fall. Next up for the Wolverines is a road game versus Northwestern before they take on Maryland, Wisconsin, and Michigan State in October.
