CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - In a surprise development ahead of No. 16 Michigan’s (4-1, 2-1 B1G) game at Illinois (2-3, 0-2 B1G) starting wide receiver Nico Collins did not make the trip to Champaign according to a Michigan spokesman per Aaron McMann of MLive.com.

The official word on Collins injury is “minor” per Jon Jansen of Michigan Football. In addition to Collins, Cornerback LaVert Hill and Tight End Erick All also did not make the trip to Illinois due to “minor” injuries.

Collins leads the Wolverines in receiving yards this season with 269, and is second on the team with 13 catches. His 2 receiving touchdowns are also a team high. Hill has played in all five games this year, logging 11 tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups. All, a freshman, has featured primarily on special teams coverage this season, but has taken snaps at tight end. Michigan and Illinois kick off at Noon on ABC.
