Isaiah Todd, one of 2020’s top basketball recruits, announced the details of his decision date on Tuesday ahead of the Thursday target he set to make the call. Todd posted to his Instagram story that he will make his decision at 7:45 p.m. ET at Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina on Thursday evening.
Todd, who is a five-star prospect and the 12th-ranked player in the class per 247Sports’ composite rankings, will be deciding from a final two that features Michigan and Kansas vying for his services. The last eight Crystal Ball selections on 247Sports have Todd choosing Juwan Howard and the Wolverines, but that does not mean the Jayhawks are out of it.
Head coach Bill Self and his program are currently involved in NCAA allegations that could result in a punishment to the school for impermissible benefits. Todd told Rivals.com that Self believes he is safe and that the scandal may wind up being a positive if he chooses to go there.
“(Self) just preached that he would be fine and if anything were to happen, that I would be fine,” Todd said. “I honestly think that it could turn around and be a positive. If I was to go there, it would show that I really trust him and that he would obviously trust me.”
Kansas is making a last-ditch effort to get Todd on board with a visit before he makes his final call. No word yet on if Howard and the Wolverines will try and do the same.

Kansas’ Bill Self and an assistant will meet with Todd today just two days prior to the announcement.
No word on if Michigan will be in.
Todd would be the first recruit in the 2020 class that has committed to Howard if he chooses to come to Ann Arbor for next season. He would join four-star guard Zeb Jackson, who committed to Michigan under John Beilein but has maintained his pledge to the school.
