Juwan Howard hit the recruiting trail right after loss to Oregon

You can’t question Howard’s work ethic.

Despite playing a game at noon Saturday, Michigan basketball head coach Juwan Howard hit the recruiting trail right after the game to check up with his top-ranked target remaining in the 2020 class — five-star guard Josh Christopher.

Christopher was on campus for his official visit on Nov. 22, and reportedly had a good visit with Howard and company.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound guard from Lakewood, California was also quite impressed with how Michigan played against Iowa State, North Carolina and Gonzaga earlier this year.

To see Howard out recruiting immediately following a game just goes to show how committed he is to improving his team, how he wants to be a top-tier recruiter and how much he cares about the program. You certainly cannot question the man’s work ethic.

Christopher is the No. 11 overall player in the 2020 class, just one spot ahead of five-star forward Isaiah Todd, per 247Sports’ composite. It appears the top two schools in his recruitment are Michigan and UCLA.

This would be a huge win for Howard if he is able to reel Christopher in and build up his 2020 class, which already includes Todd and four-star guard Zeb Jackson.

Other players remaining for Michigan in 2020 include four-star center Hunter Dickinson, four-star forward Terrance Williams and three-star forward Jace Howard, Juwan’s son.
