Michigan Drops To No. 7 In AP Poll

Following Michigan’s loss to Iowa, the Wolverines fall two spots.

The Michigan basketball team dropped out of the top five for the first time in weeks after its road loss to Iowa on Friday. U-M (20-2) checks in at No. 7 in the today’s AP Top 25 Poll.

Michigan State, which lost at home to Indiana over the weekend, dropped to No. 9.

The Big Ten as a whole has six teams ranked: No. 7 Michigan, No. 9 Michigan State, No. 15 Purdue, No. 19 Wisconsin, No. 20 Iowa and No. 24 Maryland.

This week, the Wolverines travel to face Rutgers on Tuesday, and face the Badgers at home on Saturday.
