When you check out the position units for the 2019 season, the running back is one that will lack depth due to Chris Evans, O’Maury Samuels, Kurt Taylor, and Karan Higdon no longer with the program.
To help build up that unit for future momentum, Michigan recently picked up another in-state player as a preferred walk-on, Matt Bills. The Warren (MI) native is in the 2019 recruiting class and made his announcement yesterday after visiting Michigan last weekend.

His senior season included 118 carries for 1,496 yards and 23 touchdowns.
The running back position will be an interesting group to follow as we get closer to the fall. Tru Wilson will be in the mix, including 2019 recruit Zach Charbonnet, the only running back in the class.
