John Beilein agreed to become the coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. Outside of a few tweets from the program and Beilein himself, not much had been said from his former players.
All that changed at the NBA Combine when Jordan Poole, Ignas Brazdeikis, and Charles Matthews were asked about their initial reactions to the news that their former coach would be coaching in the NBA.

Even these three had not anticipated Beilein’s departure prior to heading to the combine. It seems that Poole and Matthews had not weighed the fact that Beilein could leave in their decision-making process.
