Recruiting season continues as the Michigan Wolverines yet again made the top list of an Ohio recruit. 2020 3-star TE Joe Royer announced his top-6 list on Tuesday.

Royer is the third recruit from Ohio to have Michigan in their top lists in the last week. From Cincinnati, Royer is the No. 41 TE in the 2020 class, the No. 33 recruit in Ohio, and the No. 919 prospect in the country.
Don’t let those numbers deceive you. Royer is an ideal size for a tight end at 6’5”, 225 pounds. 50-50 balls are his expertise at this point in his development as it is easy for a QB to just put the ball up there for the tall target.
Where Royer lacks is in route running and he seems slow off the blocks. The lack of elite speed may be a reason why his ranking is a bit low.
Rounding out Royer’s top-6 are Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Arizona State, and LSU. 83% of crystal ball predictors on 247 Sports have Royer committing to Ohio State.
