Soccer is coming back to The Big House this summer! And one of the most storied franchises in the sport will be taking the field, FC Barcelona.

Barcelona will be taking on SSC Napoli at Michigan Stadium on August 10th.

The matchup will be part of a home and away series for the inaugural LaLiga-Serie A Cup, the other tilt will be at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on August 7th.

“LaLiga has recognized the importance of international expansion, especially in the United States, which is why we have dedicated significant resources through our joint venture with Relevent Sports Group,” said LaLiga President Javier Tebas in a press release. “The creation of the LaLiga-Serie A Cup is in line with our mission to create more opportunities for U.S. fans to celebrate LaLiga and we look forward to this new annual tradition to bring our clubs to America each summer.”

The Big House holds the record for the largest soccer attendance in the United States, with 109,318 fans going through the gates for the Manchester United vs. Real Madrid matchup in 2014.

Fans will be hoping that the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Ivan Rakitic play for Barcelona. FC Barcelona heading to the U.S. is like the New England Patriots or New York Yankees playing in Europe, so it’s kind of a big deal if you like soccer.

Tickets to the game at Michigan Stadium will go on presale on June 25th, and go on sale to the public on June 28th at 10 AM. You can snag tickets on mgoblue.com
