The 6-foot-3, 256 pound defensive end ended his career as a Wolverine with 18 sacks and 44.5 tackles for loss. His NFL combine included NFL Scouting Combine, running a 4.59-second 40-yard dash, 6.94-second three-cone drill and 4.11-second short shuttle.
Winovich will now be coached up on defense by head coach Bill Belichick, who will be hands on with the D, as the Pats don’t have a defensive coordinator this season.
