Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson has been named to a watch list two days in a row.

On Monday, Patterson was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List, and now he has made the cut for the Davey O’Brien Award Watch List, which is awarded to the top college quarterback in the nation each year. Patterson is one of only 30 quarterbacks to be included in the watch list.

Other Big Ten quarterbacks on the watch list include Nebraska’s Adrian Martinez and Iowa’s Nathan Stanley.

In 2018, Patterson had a 64.6% completion percentage, passed for 2,600 yards with 22 TD’s and 7 INT’s along with 273 yards rushing and 2 scores. While those numbers were solid, the expectation is Patterson will improve upon those with Michigan’s new “Speed in Space” scheme.
