The Michigan basketball team got great news Saturday when Franz Wagner — the brother of Moe Wagner — committed to the Wolverines. It was the first big recruiting win of the Juwan Howard era in Ann Arbor. Now, Howard and company received more good news on the recruiting trail.
2020 5-star shooting guard Jaden Springer put Michigan in his top five list Monday.

Along with the Wolverines on the list are North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and Memphis.
Springer — a 6-foot-4, 195-pound guard from Bradenton, Florida — is the No. 3 shooting guard in his class and the No. 11 overall player, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He plays high school basketball at IMG Academy.
The fact the Wolverines were able to get on this top five list is pretty remarkable, considering they were not on his top 11 list, which was released back in May.
It’s clear the recruiting strategies of Howard and former head coach John Beilein are completely different. The way Beilein recruited wasn’t wrong, but it surely was different. Michigan fans should be ecstatic with the Wolverines being on top lists of top players.
All three crystal ball picks are in for North Carolina.
