Things continue to look good at the University of Michigan in terms of limiting the spread of the coronavirus. Last week, there were only five positive tests out of the 1,218 conducted. This week, only two positive tests came back from the 1,173 total tests adminsitered.
Student-athlete tests for COVID-19, to date (all tests): 6,913
Positive Tests: 66
Staff member tests: 1,314
Positive tests: 10
Total tests administered (student-athletes, staff): 8,227
Positive tests: 76
Latest testing updates as of Oct. 2
Total individuals (student-athletes, staff) tested between Sept. 26-Oct. 2: 1,173
Positive test results between Sept. 19-Sept. 25: 2 (both student-athletes)
Note from U-M: The overall number of tests and positive results will not necessarily equal the sum of this week’s update plus the figures give in prior weeks’ updates. This is due to the number and timing of surveillance tests being conducted, and reflective of the fact that some test results lag behind others.
