Coming off of an embarrassing home loss, there isn’t much national confidence in Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh.

College football fans were asked in the latest SB Nation Reacts survey who they thought was the most overrated coach in the country. The Michigan coach was selected by a wide margin, earning 53 percent of the vote, well ahead of the next highest total, Texas coach Tom Herman with 19 percent.

Closer to home, confidence among Michigan fans took a huge hit. After seeing fan confidence continuously growing over the last few weeks, it fell off a cliff following the loss with only 25 percent of fans believing the team is headed in the right direction.

That is a fall from 90 percent a week ago.

Michigan’s loss last week to Michigan State may have eliminated the Wolverines from playoff contention. That list of hopeful teams may get trimmed again this week with two huge battles. Top-ranked Clemson travels to play No. 4 Notre Dame without the Tigers’ star quarterback Trevor Lawrence. However, fans still believe Clemson will find a way to stay undefeated.

If Notre Dame falls from the fourth spot, the winner of the Florida-Georgia game makes a strong argument to take their place. In the battle of the one-loss SEC teams, Georgia is being picked by more than two-thirds of fans nationally.
