The Michigan Wolverines bounced back from the sweep at the hands of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, which handed Michigan’s first two losses of the season. Thankfully, Michigan took on the winless Nittany Lions and was able to get a 3-1 victory to start off the series.
The story of this game was Strauss Mann, who was fantastic start to finish. The only goal he gave up was pretty indefensible from the goaltender’s perspective, and he was able to hold up to the flurry of shot attempts toward the end of the game to keep the Wolverines firmly with a two-goal lead to hold on.
