The Michigan Wolverines are off to a 2-0 start on the 2020 baseball season as they kick off the weekend in the warm weather of Arizona. Saturday night they are playing Arizona State and potential No. 1 overall pick Spencer Torkelson in Tempe in the second of two games played on the day.

The Wolverines opened the season with a win over defending national champion Vanderbilt on Friday night in Scottsdale in the MLB4 Collegiate Tournament by a score of 4-3 after some late-inning heroics. Saturday saw them taking on Cal PoIy in the afternoon leg of the doubleheader, where they were able to hold them off by a score of 8-5.
The Wolverines will play this game against Arizona State on Saturday night and then close out the MLB4 Collegiate Tournament event in Scottsdale on Sunday with a showdown with Connecticut, who they travel to Florida next weekend to play in a three-game series.
