Michigan Wolverines fans are eagerly awaiting the commitment of five-star 2020 guard Josh Christopher, which is set to drop sometime on Monday. In the meantime, why not take a look at what makes him so great as a prospect?
MaxPreps released a highlight compilation of his senior season at Mayfair, which saw him average 29.4 points per game, 11.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game.
247Sports’ profile on Christopher, the nation’s 10th-ranked prospect, says the following:
Excellent strength and good length for a shooting guard. Functional athleticism. Makes plays in traffic. Has great body control and ability to make tough shots and shots off one foot. Solid ball handler. More scorer than passer but can distribute. Rebounds position. Has potential to be an outstanding, versatile defender. Has a high floor as a prospect.
Five-star forward Isaiah Todd, also in the 2020 class, is currently the program’s highest-rated recruit in the modern era. Christopher dropping would nudge him to No. 2, as he is three spots higher in the 2020 class rankings.
A decision should be coming any time now. We are almost there, folks.
