Tracking the Big Ten football players that have opted out of the 2020 season

Fall camp is underway as teams prepare for a football season that still may or may not happen, but is scheduled and planned out nonetheless. Safety protocols are still being hammered out, but some may weigh it as too big a risk with the coronavirus pandemic continuing to affect the country.

As a result of that, we are seeing players opt out of playing this season, whether it be to preserve redshirt status or to get ready for the 2021 NFL Draft. Below is a running list of players from each Big Ten school have have decided to step aside this year.

This list will be updated as more names come through in the lead-up to the season.
