The University of Michigan has students on campus from various varsity sports. Because of that U-M has increased their total amount of tests to north of 900 the past two weeks. In all, there were 12 positive tests this week out of the 904 conducted.

Student-athlete tests for COVID-19, to date (all tests): 3,966

Positive Tests: 53

Staff member tests: 619

Positive tests: 5

Total tests administered (student-athletes + coaches/ staff): 4,585

Positive tests: 58

Latest testing updates as of September 11

Total individuals (student-athletes + coaches/ staff) tested between Sept. 5-Sept. 11: 904

Positive test results between Sept. 5-Sept. 11: 12

Note from U-M: The overall number of tests and positive results will not necessarily equal the sum of this week’s update plus the figures give in prior weeks’ updates. This is due to the number and timing of surveillance tests being conducted, and reflective of the fact that some test results lag behind others.
