The University of Michigan continues to prepare for several sports seasons this fall, and testing for COIVD-19 is a big part of that. Things have been looking good at U-M, and that continued this week. There were five positive tests this week out of the 1,218 conducted.
Student-athlete tests for COVID-19, to date (all tests): 5,939
Positive Tests: 61
Staff member tests: 1,044
Positive tests: 10
Total tests administered (student-athletes, staff): 6,983
Positive tests: 71
Latest testing updates as of September 25
Total individuals (student-athletes, staff) tested between Sept. 19-25: 1,218
Positive test results between Sept. 19-Sept. 25: 5 (four student-athletes, one staff member)
Note from U-M: The overall number of tests and positive results will not necessarily equal the sum of this week’s update plus the figures give in prior weeks’ updates. This is due to the number and timing of surveillance tests being conducted, and reflective of the fact that some test results lag behind others.
