The NFL will be making it to the finish line on Sunday night. There may have been hiccups throughout the season due to the pandemic, but the Super Bowl is here and there will be over 25,000 fans in attendance.
The Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tom Brady vs. Patrick Mahomes.
How to watch Super Bowl LV
Time: 6:30 p.m. ET
Location: Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, Florida)
TV: CBS
Stream: CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports App
The Chiefs beat Tampa earlier this season 27-24 in one of the better games of the football season. It was in this defeat that the Bucs offense started to find their identity. Tampa isn’t the same team as they were that date, they’re better.
Conventional wisdom says that the Chiefs offense cannot be stopped and Mahomes is too good to lose. But wisdom also can point to how many times Tom Brady gets counted out and ends up winning it all nonetheless.
This should be a good game. There will be standout commercials. Beers will be slammed. Wings will be devoured. For some people, the Super Bowl is a holiday, and I agree. I was born on Super Bowl Sunday. January 28, 1990, where the 49ers destroyed the Broncos 55-10. There are some days where the world feels completely connected, and today is one of those days.
The fact that Tom Brady is playing in his 10th Super Bowl and going for his 7th championship is absolutely incredible. The fact he’s 43 years old and still playing at a high level is equally as impressive. Mahomes will be looking to become the first QB to win back-to-back Super Bowls since.... Tom Brady.
Whatever you’re doing today, wherever you’re at in the world, I wish you a wonderful day with whomever you decide to watch the game with.
With that said, what’s your prediction? I’m going with the Bucs. The Chiefs offensive line is battered and bruised and for that reason, and because of Tom Brady I’m rolling with Tampa.
