The Michigan Wolverines expanded their point guard board in the 2022 recruiting cycle by extending an offer to point guard Seth Trimble on Monday afternoon.

Trimble is a four-star player and the 78th-ranked prospect in the country, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He has received interest from Arizona State, California, Creighton, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State Nebraska, TCU, USC and Wisconsin. However,
Head coach Juwan Howard’s program has caught his eye in the past.
“I’ve always been a Tar Heel fan so that would be nice but the top school I’d want to hear from is Michigan,” Trimble told 247Sports last summer. “I just always loved their playing style and coach Juwan Howard.”
Trimble joins five-star Jaden Bradley and four-stars Justice Williams, Chance Westry and Dug McDaniel as Michigan’s guard offers so far. McDaniel has long been seen as a top target, but the board is still working itself out.
There is not a lot of long-term depth at the point aside from Frankie Collins and Zeb Jackson, so a lead guard figures to remain a top need for the staff in 2022.
As of now, Michigan has two scholarship spots open in the 2022 recruiting class, but that can and likely will expand. Michigan has a pair of five-stars and potential lottery picks coming in 2021 with Caleb Houstan and Moussa Diabate. DeVante’ Jones and Hunter Dickinson could potentially be on the way out after this season, as well.
