While also hosting a plethora of official visitors last weekend, the Michigan football coaches took the chance to host a camp for rising players from in- and out-of-state. As 247Sports’ Allen Trieu reports, the staff saw enough to offer a handful of players based on their performances ($).
In the class of 2022, Belleville three-star linebacker Aaron Alexander fulfilled a lifelong dream by earning his offer. Our own Von Lozon also caught up with Alexander to get his full reaction, in which he mentioned Michigan is “all he is about.” With Michigan in need for linebackers this cycle and his fandom for the Wolverines, a crystal ball was already placed for the good guys. Trieu also mentioned he will be moving up in the rankings as more schools start to gain interest in the local prospect.
Top 100 defensive lineman Andrew Depaepe and West Bloomfield wide receiver Semaj Morgan were two class of 2023 prospects to receive offers. Morgan was just on campus for Detroit Day and obviously has a connection with Ron Bellamy. Depaepe won the DL MVP at camp and already holds several Power 5 offers.
In the distant future, 2024 prospects, athlete Jacob Oden and defensive lineman Eddie Tuerk, also stood out enough to earn offers. Oden, a Harper Woods native, was also at Detroit Day and is the son of a Michigan alum. He already has offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Maryland and Michigan State. This is the third offer for Tuerk, following Cincinnati and Ole Miss.
