Michigan basketball is participating in a handful of tournaments and conference match-up events in their non-conference schedule for the 2021-2022 season. On Nov. 19, the team will be heading to Las Vegas to participate in the Roman Main Event tournament in support of Coaches vs. Cancer.
The field only contains four teams — Arizona, Wichita State and host UNLV. The match-ups for the tournament were released yesterday by college hoops insider Jon Rothstein, who revealed that Michigan would be playing UNLV in the first round.
If they win that game, Michigan will play the winner of the Arizona/Wichita State game on the other side of the bracket two days later. Both of these schools are on the fringes of being ranked, giving Michigan the opportunity for another quality win to boost their eventual tournament resume.
