Rutgers is back to playing competitive football these days with Greg Schiano as their head coach. And on Saturday afternoon 3-0 Rutgers will face 3-0 Michigan.
After Rutgers 45-13 win over Delaware, Greg Schiano was asked about the upcoming matchup versus Michigan, and Schiano had nothing but good things to say about the Wolverines.
“They’re a really good football team,” Schiano said. ”I guess it was pretty one-sided today (Michigan’s 63-10 win over Northern Illinois). I didn’t see any of it, I just heard the score. We know what we’re up against. It sounds like Michigan’s back to being Michigan. We had our crack last year and didn’t do it. So now we’re going on the road and we have to find a way against a very good football team.”
Rutgers lost to Michigan a season ago in what turned out to be a wild game. The Scarlet Knights were up 17-0 before Cade McNamara and Hassan Haskins led a Michigan comeback. The game would go to triple-overtime, where Michigan prevailed 48-42.
Michigan and Rutgers face off on Saturday at 3:30 ET on ABC.
